Guidelines on Application
- Kau Yan School (Kindergarten Section) is a non-profit-marketing kindergarten under the Free Quality KG Education Scheme.
- Online application only. Online application submission deadline: 7 October 2022 (Fri) 5 PM
- In order to save the application form temporarily and submit supplementary information later, please register a membership account before filling in the application information.
- A complete application should consist of the following documents.
- recent photo of the applicant;
- a photocopy of the applicant’s Birth Certificate or Identity Card issued by the HKSAR Government (if the applicant does not possess a Birth Certificate or Identity Card issued by the HKSAR Government, please submit a photocopy of the applicant’s Passport);
- a photocopy of Immunisation Record;
- After submitting the application form online, parents will receive an offline payment notice (including payment instructions) via email. Parents must pay the registration fee of HK$40 before 8 October 2022 (Sat), and upload the receipt or bank deposit slip to the application system. The school will send out an email confirmation (containing the registration number and application confirmation PDF) to confirm the completion of the entire application procedure on or before 10 October 2022 (Mon). Please keep the registration number and confirmation letter carefully for future reference.
- If parents do not receive the email confirmation on 10 October 2022 (Mon), please contact Ms. Chan at 2803 0304.
- Applicants who are invited to attend the interview day will receive an email about the interview arrangement on 18 October 2022 (Tue).
- In general, the interview date will be arranged according to the date selected by the parents in the application form. Therefore, it is not acceptable to change the date and time after the interview arrangement is issued. Please choose the interview date carefully.
- If the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, the school will take priority in accordance with the following principles:
- Parent is working full-time in our school
Parent is a member of the board of directors of our school
Parent is a pastoral staff of our sponsoring body
Sibling is studying in our kindergarten - Parent agrees with our school's education philosophy and teaching approach
- Performance in the interview
- The interview results will be announced at 10:00 am on 14 December 2022 (Wed). Parents will receive the results via email, and the school will simultaneously mail a letter to the applicant's correspondence address. If parents have not received the letter on 21 December 2022 (Wed), please call the school for inquiries.

- The above information given to the school is for the admission procedures only. Upon completion of the admission procedures, the documents will be destroyed and all application materials submitted will not be returned.
- Any false information given by me will render the application invalid.
