Application Confirmation Note For K1 Admissions 2025-2026

Guidelines on Application

  1. Kau Yan School (Kindergarten Section) is a non-profit-marketing kindergarten under the KG Education Scheme.
  2. Our school only accepts online applications. Registration date: starts on 2nd September 2024 (Monday) at 10:00 am and the deadline for online submission is 10th October 2024 (Thursday) at 5:00 pm.
  3. In order to save the application form temporarily and submit supplementary information later, please register a membership account before filling in the application information.
  4. A complete application should consist of the following documents.
    • recent photo of the applicant;
    • a photocopy of the applicant’s Birth Certificate or Identity Card issued by the HKSAR Government (if the applicant does not possess a Birth Certificate or Identity Card issued by the HKSAR Government, please submit a photocopy of the applicant’s Passport);
    • a photocopy of the Immunisation Record;
  5. After submitting the application form online, parents will receive an offline payment notification (including payment instructions) via email. Parents must submit the application fee of HKD 40 on or before October 12, 2024(Saturday) and upload the receipt or screenshot of the bank deposit slip to the registration system. The school will confirm the payment and send an email confirmation (including the application number and confirmation letter PDF) on or before October 14, 2024 (Monday). This process completes the entire registration procedure. Please keep the application number and confirmation letter carefully for future reference.
  6. If parents do not receive the email confirmation on 14 October 2024 (Mon), please contact Ms Chan at 2803 0304.
  7. Applicants who are invited to attend the interview day will receive an email about the interview arrangement on 25 October 2024 (Fri).
  8. Generally, the interview date will be arranged according to the date selected by the parents in the application form. Therefore, it is not acceptable to change the date and time after the interview arrangement is issued. Please choose the interview date carefully.
  9. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, the school will take priority in accordance with the following principles:
    1. The parent is working full-time in our school
      The parent is a member of the board of directors of our school
      The parent is a pastoral staff of our sponsoring body
      Sibling is studying in our kindergarten
    2. Parent agrees with our school's education philosophy and teaching approach
    3. Performance in the interview
  10. The interview results will be announced at 10:00 am on 13 December 2024 (Fri). Parents will receive the results via email, and the school will simultaneously mail a letter to the applicant's correspondence address. If parents have not received the letter on 18 December 2024 (Wed), please call the school for inquiries.

Collection of Personal Data

I understand that
  1. The above information given to the school is for admission procedures only. Upon completion of the admission procedures, the documents will be destroyed and all application materials submitted will not be returned.
  2. Any false information given by me will render the application invalid.
